Fuyang Museum is located in the Fuchun Mountain Pavilion, No. 159, Jiangbin West Avenue, Fuyang District, Hangzhou City, and officially opened to the public on December 23, 2017. The museum covers a total area of 5428 square meters, with an exhibition hall construction area of 2573 square meters (including a temporary exhibition hall area of approximately 926 square meters), and a storage and exhibition preparation area construction area of about 1436 square meters.
In August 2018, it was named a ‘Hangzhou Social Science Popularization Demonstration Base’ by the city’s social science federation. In the same year in September, it was named a ‘Zhejiang Social Science Popularization Demonstration Base’ by the provincial social science federation. Fuyang Museum is positioned as a historical and cultural museum reflecting the regional history and culture of Fuyang, combining academic, intellectual, cultural, and recreational elements. The main body of the museum’s basic exhibition hall is ‘Home on the Fuchun River’, which is divided into eight sections: the pre-hall, Landscape Fuyang, Millennium Ancient County, Eastern Wu Origins, Papermaking Famous Town, Land of Fish and Rice, Golden Waterway, and Talented People and Beautiful Scenery. The exhibition narrates the story of the development of Fuyang’s history and culture. Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 16:30; closed all day on Monday.Fuyang Museum
