Zi Wei Cave is located in the northern suburbs of Chaohu, also known as Ziwei Cave and Shuangjing Cave, named for its two natural well-like exits. This is a typical karst cave with an underground river meandering through it, featuring various stalactites to admire. Although it may not match the fantastic beauty of caves in Guilin, it is still quite famous locally due to the scarcity of caves around Hefei and Chaohu.

The entrance fee varies; paying only 15 yuan grants access to a large park, but excludes visits to Zi Wei Cave and the Museum of Curiosity Stones. However, other attractions such as Wang Qiao’s Enigmatic Grotto (Wang Qiao Cave), the Tomb of the First Lady, and Bao’en Temple can be visited. Wang Qiao’s Enigmatic Grotto is known for its cliff carvings, where except for one slightly larger Buddha statue with a head, hundreds of smaller Buddha statues are headless, which is quite mysterious.

It is recommended to purchase the 60 yuan package ticket, which allows access to all attractions except the Museum of Curiosity Stones, including the highlight, Zi Wei Cave. The stalactites within the cave resemble various shapes such as gourds, monkeys catching the moon, and pigs looking into mirrors, presenting a variety of forms. However, overall, their development is quite average. The short boat ride within the cave seems to be more appealing to tourists, offering an adventurous experience.

The 70 yuan full ticket includes all attractions, including the Museum of Curiosity Stones, which displays a variety of stones. Opinions on the museum vary among visitors; if you are a stone enthusiast, it is worth a visit. Operating hours are 08:00-16:30 all year round. Concessions: Children below 1.4 meters (not included) enter for free; those 1.4 meters (included) and above 18 years old (included) can enter with a valid ID for a child’s ticket; seniors aged 65 years and above (included) enter for free with a valid ID; those aged 60 years (included) to 65 years (not included) can enter with a valid ID for a senior’s ticket; full-time undergraduate and below students can enter with a valid ID for a student’s ticket; active-duty military personnel enter for free with a valid military officer or soldier ID.
