Nanjing Purple Mountain Insect Museum is a natural-themed museum that integrates insect taxonomy research, insect ecology display, and natural science education. Located at the foot of Zhongshan, the museum’s main exhibition areas include the序厅, Nanjing Local Insects Hall, Insect Diversity Hall, Lepidoptera Insects Hall, Singing Insects Culture Hall, Insect Behavior Hall, Social Insects and Aquatic Insects Hall, and live insect display area.
Through natural ecological simulation, multimedia technology application, and large-scale live ecological tanks, it showcases the basic forms, living environments, main groups of insects, and their relationship with humans. Opening times are 09:00-17:30 from Monday to Friday, and 09:00-18:00 on weekends and holidays. Concessions for children: Children under 1.2 meters tall enter free of charge, and those between 1. 2 meters (inclusive) and 1.5 meters (exclusive) enjoy half-price tickets.
