The Nanjing Taipu Temple Scenic Area is located in the downtown area of Chuzhou City, at the intersection of Xijian Road and Tianchang West Road. Nanjing Taipu Temple was a central institution in the Ming Dynasty. It was one of the national functional institutions along with Dali Temple, Taichang Temple, Guanglu Temple, and Honglu Temple. Taipu Temple was a subordinate institution of the Ministry of War and was mainly responsible for horse administration institutions that managed war horses, royal carriages and horses, and post station horses.

Before Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty, Zhu Di, moved the capital to Beijing, this place was only called Taipu Temple. After the capital was moved, in order to be different from the Taipu Temple in Beijing, this place was renamed Nanjing Taipu Temple. The scenic area includes garden landscapes such as the Taipu Temple yamen, Fengle Pavilion, Baizi Lingqiu, and Longchi Ancient Street. Relying on the ‘Ming culture’ as the main line, it focuses on creating a comprehensive tourist scenic area, mainly with mountain greening restoration, garden paths, and sketches.
