Located at 1124 Lane Xinzha Road (also known as Qinyuan Village), this is the former residence where Ruan Lingyu once lived and resided. According to neighbors in Building 9, the tea tycoon and super fan Tang Jishan, who left actress Zhang Zhiyun, purchased this small western-style house for Ruan Lingyu with ten gold bars as a gift. The first floor served as Ruan Lingyu’s living room for receiving friends and guests, the second floor was her bedroom shared with Tang Jishan, and the third floor was occupied by her mother and the domestic staff. Today, the old house stands with a hazy light and shadow, featuring a dark red exterior wall and peeling paint on the doors and windows. The structure of the house has not changed significantly, but due to the disturbance from visitors and film crews, the current owner of Building 9 in Qinyuan Village prefers not to be disturbed, allowing only exterior viewing. The house is open all year round, with exterior access available at all times.
