The Yushan Sightseeing Cableway is located between Xingfu Temple and Yushan Sword Gate, traversing the northern foot of Yushan Mountain, and is a single-circuit, fixed grip, two-person gondola passenger cableway. It spans a total length of 1068 meters with 90 gondolas, operating at a speed of 1 meter per second, with a one-way passenger capacity of 300 people per hour, and the ride takes approximately 20 minutes.
Yushan lies northwest of Changshu City, bordering the Yangtze River to the north and Shanghu Lake to the south, and is named after Yu Zhong, an ancestor of the Jiangnan region during the Shang and Zhou dynasties, who was buried here. The southeast slope of Yushan extends into the ancient city, earning it the reputation of ‘half the city within ten miles of green hills’.
