Yingtai’s Hometown, Zhujiazhuang, is located in the central part of Shangyu City, to the northwest of Fenghui Town, 9 kilometers away from the urban area of Shangyu. It is the birthplace of Zhu Yingtai, a central character in the classic love story ‘Butterfly Lovers’. The scenic area extends from the canal at the entrance of the village in the east, to Qinglong Mountain in the west, connects to Yushui River in the south, and is backed by Fengting Mountain in the north, with a planned total area of approximately 2.84 square kilometers (equivalent to 4264 acres). The scenic area is designed and constructed according to the national AAAA-level tourist area standards. By deeply exploring the cultural connotations of the tourist area, combined with the overall tourism planning of Shangyu City and the village planning of Zhujiazhuang, the focus is on developing and constructing the core area that showcases the Butterfly Lovers culture, creating cultural leisure products, and establishing a distinctive tourism image. Yingtai’s Hometown is being transformed into a unique cultural characteristic rural tourist destination, becoming an important node on the tourism line of Shangyu and surrounding areas. Open all year round from 08:00 to 16:30.
