The Haiyan County Museum is located at 43 Haibin East Road, Wuyuan Town, Haiyan County, Zhejiang Province. It is a local comprehensive museum. The total number of cultural relics in the collection is more than 4,000, of which nearly 1,100 are precious cultural relics above grade three. Ceramics account for the majority of the collections. Especially after several years of archaeological excavations, a large number of collections from the Liangzhu culture period have been added. In addition, the combination of original porcelain chime bells from the Warring States Period, the combination of glazed pottery funerary objects from tombs of the Three Kingdoms period, and the copper seal of the Southern Song Dynasty navy are also quite distinctive. The museum building covers an area of more than 3,000 square meters, of which the area of the cultural relics warehouse is about 700 square meters, and the total area of exhibitions is 800 square meters. There are currently two basic exhibition rooms and two temporary exhibition rooms. The two basic exhibitions are ‘Exhibition of Haiyan Historical Cultural Relics’ and ‘Nixiang Room – Folk Arts and Crafts Exhibition’. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 08:45 to 16:30; closed all day on Monday throughout the year; open from 08:45 to 18:00 on National Day.
