The Donghai Lingyan Scenic Area
The Donghai Lingyan Scenic Area is located in the south of Sizhoutou, Xiangshan County, known as the ‘fairyland on the sea’. It borders Xieqian Port in the east. Surrounded by hills and harbors on three sides and adjacent to mountains and rivers, it has beautiful scenery. There are numerous cliffs, strange peaks and grotesque rocks in the mountains, known as the ‘most spectacular in eastern Zhejiang’. The naturally formed thousand-foot rock wall is the premier place for rock climbing in East China.
Amusement Projects
The scenic area has many mountain amusement projects. Via Ferrata, double-track slide, glass drifting, jungle crossing, high-altitude zip line, etc. are outdoor fashion tourism projects in line with the current international trend and it is a forest sports and leisure destination with unique characteristics in China.
Main Scenic Spots
The main scenic spot, Xingchen Bridge, spans the main peak of Lingyan Mountain. It is like a blooming lotus in the clouds. The mountains are surrounded by mist, just like a fairyland on earth. The Lingyan Ladder, Thousand-foot Rocks, Backflow Waterfall, Immortal Cave, Hundred-step Ascent to the Clouds and other scenic spots are also extremely beautiful and give people an unparalleled shock.
Nunneries
The Lingjing Nunnery and Lingyun Nunnery on the mountain were built in the Qing Dynasty and are quite prosperous with incense. It is a tourist attraction for climbing high, worshipping Buddha and leisure sightseeing.
