The island is abundant in forests, predominantly consisting of mixed coniferous and broadleaf forests, including species such as pine and camphor trees.

On Gangpan Mountain’s eastern side, there is a freshwater reservoir that was once used for irrigating nearby rice fields. Since the conversion of farmland to marine farms, the reservoir has been abandoned and now remains in its natural state without any specific use. The water is clear and covers an area of approximately 20 acres.

Encompassing Gangpan Mountain are 13 islands and reefs of varying sizes, which together have a total area of 6079 acres. The intertidal zone spans 2621 acres, creating a sea lake with an area of about 5000 acres between the islands and the coast.

The bay is tranquil, featuring unique marine erosion landscapes and a picturesque blend of mountains and sea. The region surrounding Gangpan Mountain is home to numerous pristine natural landscapes, such as Eagle Beak Rock, Heavenly Strike Rock, Empress Temple, Horseshoe Mountain Tip, Embroidered Slippers, Yuelin Manor, and Little Western Paradise. Each of these sites is characterized by distinct features and is steeped in captivating myths and legends.

Gangpan Mountain’s higher elevation compared to other islands, coupled with its position facing the harbor’s outlet, provides an unobstructed view of the horizon. This makes it an ideal location for witnessing sunrises, a truly unique natural phenomenon. The specific opening hours and business status are subject to the daily opening conditions.
