Macau World Heritage Site | Temple
A-Ma Temple is the oldest existing temple in Macau with tangible historical evidence, and it has the longest-preserved architectural features among Macau’s cultural heritage. The temple complex includes several buildings, such as the “Shenshan First” Hall, the Zhengjue Zen Forest, the Hongren Hall, and the Guanyin Pavilion. Originally known as Niangma Temple, Tianfei Temple, or Haijue Temple, it was later named “A-Ma Temple,” commonly referred to as “Ma Kok Temple” by locals.
