On July 6, 2024, at 11:30 AM, the summer sun was at its brightest. With a deep longing for nature and a strong desire for family time, our family set off on a journey to the Le Huo Campsite at Changxing Island National Park. This place is not only a retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle but also a family paradise filled with laughter and warm memories.
As soon as we arrived at the Le Huo Campsite, the lush green space was the first thing that caught our eye, as if we had been instantly transported into a brand new world. The cheerful songs of birds filled our ears, and the fragrance of flowers and grass filled our noses—everything seemed so harmonious and beautiful.
**Parent-child DIY Handicrafts: The Collision of Creativity and Love**
Our first stop was the parent-child DIY handicrafts area, which was filled with a variety of materials and tools, all waiting for the creative input of children and parents. We opted for a parent-child green dumpling project, listening to the staff’s explanations while trying our hands at it. Although the child’s small hands were a bit clumsy, their focus and seriousness deeply moved me. As we kneaded the dough, wrapped the filling, and chatted, we enjoyed this rare family time together. When the round and cute green dumplings were presented before us, the sense of achievement and joy were palpable.
**Tea Brewing Around the Stove: Enjoying Family Time in Peace**
In the afternoon, we moved to the bamboo tea area. Here, we sat around an antique tea stove, starting the experience of tea brewing around the stove.Parent-child Picking: The Joy of Getting Close to Nature
In the evening, we went to the orchard for parent-child picking. The orchard was laden with fruits, various kinds hanging from the branches, making one’s mouth water. We selected our favorite fruits, picking and tasting them as we went. The child excitedly ran between the fruit trees, occasionally showing me his ‘trophies’. During the picking process, we not only harvested a lot of fruit but also experienced the joy and satisfaction of getting close to nature.
BBQ: The Blending of Delicious Food and Laughter
As night fell, the Le Huo Campsite was brightly lit, and a barbecue party under the stars was about to begin. We chose a spot in the outdoor barbecue area and started to prepare dinner. The child also excitedly participated, helping to skewer meat, brush oil, and flip the grill… Although the movements were a bit awkward, the seriousness and enthusiasm were touching. When the fragrant grilled meat was presented before us, we toasted and celebrated, enjoying the blend of delicious food and laughter.
Parent-Child Cycling: Exploring the Uncharted Journey
On the second morning, we rented two bicycles and embarked on a journey of exploration through parent-child cycling.
As the water temperature rose, the aroma of tea gradually spread, intertwining with the fragrance of the surrounding bamboo, creating a tranquil and elegant atmosphere. As we sipped tea and chatted, we enjoyed this rare peace and comfort. The child’s face was filled with a satisfied smile, and I knew that this moment would become a beautiful memory in his heart.

At Changxing Island’s Eco-Camp, the scenery is nothing short of picturesque. Lush trees, the melody of birdsong, and the fragrance of flowers all work together to soothe the soul. We traversed the winding paths, toggling between exhilarating sprints and leisurely strolls. The children’s faces were a canvas of excitement and curiosity, as they pointed out the scenery by the roadside and fired questions at me incessantly.
During our ride, we reveled not just in the breathtaking beauty of the surroundings but also in the strengthening of bonds and understanding between parents and children. As our holiday drew to a close, our trip to the Eco-Camp culminated in a successful and memorable experience. This wonderful time, however, will live on in our hearts, etching itself as a precious shared memory.
