The Shi Ling Ancient Battery was constructed during the Qing Dynasty. It currently houses a ‘Zhen Wu General Cannon’ cast in the 25th year of the Daoguang era, with a cannon mouth diameter of thirteen centimeters and weighing over two tons. This cannon was an essential military equipment for the defense of the ancient city of Jinling and the Yangtze River. The site is open all year round, accessible twenty-four hours a day.
