The museum is located in Huizhou Ancient City, Shexian County, Anhui Province. It is a museum themed on Huizhou culture and Huizhou history. The total construction area is over 11,600 square meters, divided into two floors above ground and one floor underground. It is equipped with collection storage areas, exhibition areas, technical management areas, cultural relic research areas and audience service facilities.
Among them, the exhibition area is 4,000 square meters, and 1,530 objects are on display, divided into five sections: ‘Huizhou in the World’, ‘Remembering Huizhou from Afar’, ‘Tracing Roots to Huizhou’, ‘Autumn in Huizhou’, and ‘Huizhou in Dreams’.
