Anting Old Street

Anting Old Street is located in Anting Town, northwest of Shanghai, and has been a land of abundant resources and bustling commerce since ancient times. After renovation and transformation, Anting Old Street has now become the site of Anting’s cultural tourism street, known as the ‘China Art City’. Traditional handicrafts such as calligraphy, paintings, peculiar stones, and porcelain carvings are displayed and exchanged in this quaint old street.

‘China Art City’ spans 1.5 kilometers, situated next to the ancient temple of Bodhi and the Ming Dynasty academy ‘Zhen Chuan Academy’, adjacent to Yong’an Tower. Hundreds of shops, all in the style of Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, gather the works of calligraphers, artists, and antiques from all over the country, forming a unique cultural shopping venue. Currently, more than 20 domestic calligraphy and painting artists have established studios here. The opening hours are all year round, open all day, with specific business status subject to the day’s opening conditions.
