Located in Baoying County, Yangzhou City, known as the ‘Hometown of Lotus and Lotus Root’ in China and a national advanced county for plain afforestation, Bai Lu Island International Ecological Tourism Area is a national agricultural tourism demonstration site. It is based on a well-preserved original ecological environment and focuses on four major themes: ‘water’, ‘green’, ‘wild’, and ‘fun’. Combining the profound canal culture and unique characteristics of Lixiahe, it emphasizes the development of distinctive tourism projects, enriches cultural connotations and lake landscape, and strives to build an ecological tourism resort integrating lake sightseeing, leisure vacation, folk custom collection, quality education, and camping expansion. It aims to become one of the few ecological parks in China where people and nature harmoniously coexist.
The 2750-acre organic agricultural area of Bai Lu Island International Ecological Tourism Area is an excellent place for sightseeing tours.
