Ban Zha Heritage Park is a significant archaeological discovery following the successful inclusion of the Grand Canal of China in the World Cultural Heritage list. Constructed around the ancient Ban Zha site dating back to the Yongle era of the Ming Dynasty (1416), the project is located on the west side of Xiangyu Avenue, north side of Mei Gao Road, east side of Li Canal, and south side of Fu Di Road in Huai’an City. The project covers an area of 109 acres with a venue construction area of 13,000 square meters and an exhibition area of 3,340 square meters. The total investment is 272 million yuan, divided into above-ground and underground sections.
The main functional areas of the Grand Canal Ban Zha Heritage Park include the Ban Zha Site (lock structure), Ban Zha Cultural Experience Center, Ban Zha Style Street, San Yuan Palace, and the ancient river course. The park aims to become a cultural, commercial, and tourist destination integrating three major functions: cultural display, site protection, and tourism leisure. The park is open year-round from Monday to Thursday from 10:00 to 17:30, and from Friday to Sunday from 09:30 to 18:30.Ban Zha Heritage Park
