Baoguo Temple Ancient Architecture Museum is located on the mountainside of Lingshan Mountain in Jiangbei District, Ningbo City. It is backed by Mount Maofeng, with Elephant Trunk on the left and Lion Rock on the right. The place is secluded and the terrain is obstructed. The land is long and the shape is hidden. The temple is faintly visible in the clouds. Its superb architectural craftsmanship is astonishing.
The main hall, Daxiong Baodian, was rebuilt in 1013, the sixth year of Daxiangfu in the Northern Song Dynasty. It is one of the ancient and completely preserved wooden structures south of the Yangtze River in China. It has a unique structure and magnificent momentum, and has high historical, artistic and scientific value. The museum is divided into four exhibition halls: Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Baodian, Guanyin Hall and Sutra Depository. Opening hours: From April 1st to November 30th, open from Tuesday to Sunday, 08:00 – 17:00; from December 1st to March 31st, open from Tuesday to Sunday, 08:30 – 16:30; closed all day on Monday throughout the year.
