Baoshan Zen Temple

Baoshan Temple, also known as Baoshan Jing She, was originally named Fuyuan Temple when it was first established in the second year of the Liang Dynasty (536 AD). During the Tang Dynasty’s Shang Yuan era, it was renamed Baoshan Zen Temple. As the premier among the temples on Mount Xi, Baoshan Temple is renowned worldwide. With a long and unbroken history, the temple has spread its teachings far and wide, producing numerous eminent monks. Surrounded by a tranquil and serene environment, the temple also enjoys a thriving incense culture.

Blood Donation Honor Certificate: Holders of the ‘Three Exemptions’ honor certificate under the ‘Jiangsu Province Blood Donation Regulations’ (National Voluntary Blood Donation Award, Voluntary Hematopoietic Stem Cell Donation Award, and Lifetime Honorary Award for Voluntary Blood Donation Service) can enter for free.


Model Workers and Sanitation Honorees: Model workers from Wuzhong District, Suzhou City level or above, and those with Suzhou sanitation honor certificates can enter for free with their certificates.


Eligible for State Support: Individuals receiving state support and retired ‘Two Participants’ military personnel from enterprises can enter for free.


Tourism Bureau Preferential Certificate: Holders of the Wuzhong District Tourism Bureau preferential certificate can enter for free.


Religious Personnel: Religious clergy and staff affiliated with religious activity venues within the scenic area, belonging to the same religion, can enter the scenic area and visit religious activity venues for free with valid identification.


Trade Union Members: Wuzhong District trade union members and their families can enjoy preferential ticket purchases according to document requirements (Wu Gong Fa [2013] No. 43, Wu Gong Fa [2013] No. 66).
