There are three main ferry terminals from Chongming to Shanghai: Nanmen, Xinhe, and Baozhen. Among them, Baozhen Wharf is located at the southern tip of the island. The waiting room of the wharf was built in the late 1970s and was considered quite impressive along the Yangtze River basin. It is open all year round, accessible 24/7.
