In 2011, as part of the construction of ‘One Venue and Three Museums’ in Bengbu City, the new building of Bengbu City Museum commenced construction. The new museum is located on the west side of the Civic Square, echoing with the Planning Exhibition Hall and Archives Hall. On May 31, 2015, the old museum located in Bengbu City Science and Culture Palace officially closed and ceased to be open to the public. Subsequently, on December 26 of the same year, the new museum was completed and opened to the public. The opening hours are as follows: The museum is closed all day on Mondays throughout the year; it is open from 09:00 to 17:00 from Tuesdays to Sundays throughout the year; and during New Year’s Day, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival, and National Day, it is open from 09:00 to 17:00, with the museum closed every Monday (except for national holidays).
