Previously known as Big Bus, Bus Tour is a double-decker sightseeing bus in cooperation with the British company Big Bus. It offers a tour of the essence of Shanghai’s scenic spots. Sitting on the upper deck, you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Shanghai’s cityscape. Passengers can get on and off at will to arrange their own tour itinerary. It belongs to the same company as sightseeing buses in places like Hong Kong.


The scenic spots passed by the sightseeing bus are all famous attractions in Shanghai. The bus is divided into three routes: Shanghai Sightseeing Tour Line 1 (Tour Line 4), Shanghai Sightseeing Tour Line 3 (Tour Line 6), and Shanghai Sightseeing Tour Line 2 (Tour Line 5). Among them, Shanghai Sightseeing Tour Line 1 (Tour Line 4) and Shanghai Sightseeing Tour Line 3 (Tour Line 6) are Puxi routes, and Shanghai Sightseeing Tour Line 2 (Tour Line 5) is a Pudong route.


The buses are all equipped with tour guide devices in eight languages to explain Shanghai’s human history and related information.


Shanghai Sightseeing Tour Line 1 (Tour Line 4) (Shanghai City Tour) route (original red line): Nanjing Road (New World City) – People’s Square (Shanghai Museum) – People’s Park (Shanghai Art Museum) – Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street (in front of Guxiang Hotel) – The Bund A (Sanyang Food). Starting from January 13, it moves south to 20 meters south of Zhongshan East Road No. 1 on Nanjing Road East (opposite The Bund No. 18) – The Bund B (Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions) – Shiliupu (Pujiang Sightseeing Pier) – Yu Garden (Yongan Road, Renmin Road) – Xintiandi (in front of Starbucks).

Starting from January 13, it moves south to 20 meters south of Zhongshan East Road No. 1 on Nanjing Road East (opposite The Bund No. 18) – The Bund B (Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions) – Oriental Pearl Tower (Gate 2) – Shanghai World Financial Center and Jin Mao Tower – The Cool Docks – Shiliupu (Pujiang Sightseeing Pier).

Shanghai Sightseeing Tour Line 3 (Tour Line 6) (Shanghai Ancient City Tour) route (original green line): Nanjing Road (New World City) – Shanghai Museum – Huaihai Road (Hua Shi Plaza) – Jing’an Temple – Portman Hotel – Shanghai TV Station – People’s Park (Shanghai Art Museum).


Opening hours: Open all year round from 09:00 to 17:30. The red line is open from 9:00 to 17:00 (the red line night tour is from 17:00 to 20:00. The operation time is from May 1 to October 31 each year. In case of force majeure such as bad weather, it will be temporarily cancelled). The blue line is open from 9:30 to 17:30. The green line is open from 9:15 to 16:45.


Preferential policies: Children under 1.3 meters (excluding) need to be accompanied by an adult and are free.
