The Changgan Bridge is located in the south of Nanjing City. The original bridge was built in the Yang Wu period of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms. It is a necessary way for the imperial street of the Southern Tang Dynasty to directly reach Changganli outside the city. The bridge deck is wide and open. It is the intersection of ancient water transportation docks. Li Bai once wrote poems here. In December 1937, in order to prevent the Japanese invaders from attacking, the defenders blew up the large arch in the middle. Later, wooden steel beams were laid for transportation. In 1951, it was rebuilt into a reinforced concrete bridge. After expansion, the Changgan Bridge is 100 meters long and about 24 meters wide, with a total of 8 spans. Open all year round and open all day.
