This area boasts lush forests, clear springs, enchanting waterfalls, and beautiful pools, truly a world of water, a world of waterfalls, and a paradise for love and leisure. According to legend, during the Tang Dynasty, hundreds of martial arts experts gathered at the ‘Dragon Pool Waterfall’ in Changgu Dongtian to demonstrate their skills. A beautiful young woman accidentally slipped from the top of the waterfall while chopping wood with her father. A chivalrous martial artist swiftly rescued her, and their love blossomed, leading to a marriage celebrated by fellow warriors. They were said to bathe together in the second pool, which later became known as the ‘Mandarin Duck Pool’, hence Changgu Dongtian is also called the ‘Valley of Love, Dragon’s Waterfall’.
