Changrong Grand Theater is located in the picturesque Gu Huaihe Cultural Ecological Scenic Area of Qinghe New District, Huai’an City, named after the renowned Xun School Peking Opera master, Mr. Song Changrong. Equipped with top-tier lighting and sound systems within the province, the theater is a comprehensive multifunctional venue capable of hosting opera performances, digital screenings, music variety shows, conferences, forums, and exhibitions.
The reception hall on the first floor of the theater showcases a splendid and grand beauty in gold and splendor. The grand theater can accommodate approximately 800 people for simultaneous viewings.
The Xun School Art Museum on the second floor displays the profound history of Xun School Peking Opera art and the artistic career of the famous Xun School Peking Opera master, Mr. Song Changrong, allowing visitors to gain a deeper understanding of the endless charm of Peking Opera art and grasp the cultural context of Xun School Peking Opera.
The luxurious digital cinema mini-hall and five luxurious boxes with different cultural origins (Ju Cui Hall, Tongqing Pavilion, Huaqing Pavilion, Songxiu Pavilion, and Jixiu Pavilion) on the third floor are another highlight of Changrong Grand Theater, capable of accommodating 60 people for simultaneous viewings.
The Matchmaker Square, located at the front of Changrong Grand Theater, centers around a matchmaker sculpture and features a 6,000 square meter cultural square themed around celebrating beautiful love. The square is equipped with landscape lamp pillars, greenery decorations, and relief walls, which are engraved with scenes from five ancient love stories: ‘The Butterfly Lovers’, ‘The Heavenly Match’, ‘The Transformation of the Lovers’, ‘The Romance of the Western Chamber’, and ‘The Palace of Eternal Life’. Being in the square feels like being in a painting, where visitors can experience the rich atmosphere of romantic love.
