Changshu Museum is a historical art museum integrating functions such as collection, research, display, and education. It collects more than 11,000 pieces of cultural relics ranging from the Songze and Liangzhu cultures more than 5,000 years ago to the New Democratic Revolution period. Basically, it is mainly composed of three categories: calligraphy and painting, ceramics, and jade. In recent years, cultural relic atlases published in China such as ‘Complete Works of Fine Arts’, ‘Liangzhu Jadeware’, ‘Paintings Collection of the Four Wangs’, ‘Calligraphy and Paintings Collection of Wu Changshuo’, ‘Catalogue of Chinese Astronomical Cultural Relics’, ‘Catalogue of Cultural Relics on the Initial Spread of Buddhism to the South’, and ‘Six Dynasties Art’ all include the collections of this museum. In addition, special albums such as ‘Paintings Collection of Changshu Museum’, ‘Calligraphy Collection of Changshu Museum’, and ‘Seals of Changshu Museum’, which bring together the fine works of calligraphy, painting, and seals in the museum’s collection, have been grandly launched by Shanghai People’s Fine Arts Publishing House, Cultural Relics Publishing House, and People’s Fine Arts Publishing House one after another.
