Nestled in the core area of Longshan Forest Health Town, Longshanchuanbu Village Meihua Valley, Changxing Ancient Forest Museum boasts picturesque landscapes with a forest coverage rate exceeding 85%. Known as the ‘Land of Longevity’ and ‘Sanctuary of Seclusion,’ the museum spans over 300 acres and integrates ancient wood appreciation, forest culture, and forest science education, focusing on promoting the ancient forest culture.
The museum’s collection consists of treasures from nature, uncarved, unpainted, and in their natural state, each one exquisite and unique. It features ‘Divine Woods’ from the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau and Kunlun Mountains; ‘Wandering Woods’ from the Changbai Mountains and Songhua and Heilongjiang River basins; ‘Black Woods’ from the Emei Mountain area in Sichuan, dating back from 6,000 to 40,000 years; and ‘Petrified Wood and Tree Jade’ from countries like China, Myanmar, Thailand, and Malaysia, formed over hundreds of millions of years. It is also the home to the Meihua Enterprise – Oriental Plum Garden, where rare stones and ancient plums are interspersed, with blooming flowers and ancient woods complementing each other, meandering streams and cold pools adding to the charm, and forest greenways encircling the area, providing a tranquil retreat back to nature. Strolling through the International Garden filled with blooming red plums, azaleas, roses, and crape myrtles, one can immerse in the dialogue with the remnants of nature, transcending time and space to experience the infinite mysteries of life origins, Earth’s evolution, and the cycle of forests. Opening hours and business status are subject to the daily opening conditions. Preferential policies: Children under 6 years (not included) and under 1.2 meters (not included) enter for free; children between 1.2 meters (included) and 1.4 meters (not included) pay the child ticket price. Military personnel with valid documents enter for free. Disabled persons with valid documents enter for free.
