Located in the core area of Longshan Forest Town, a provincial-level characteristic town in Zhejiang Province, the Changxing Huaxi Valley Scenic Area is situated at Meihua Valley in Longshanchuanbu Village, known for its clear waters, beautiful mountains, and blooming flowers all year round. With a forest coverage rate of over 85%, it is renowned as the ‘Hometown of Longevity’.


The Huaxi Valley covers an area of more than 300 acres, integrating ancient wood appreciation, forest culture, and forest science popularization. The collections within the scenic area are the treasures of nature, uncarved, unpainted, and undyed, capturing the essence of nature in its purest form, each piece is exquisite and extraordinary. There are ‘divine woods’ from the Yunnan-Guizhou-Tibet Plateau and Kunlun Mountains; ‘wave woods’ from the Changbai Mountains and along the Songhua and Heilongjiang rivers; ‘black woods’ from the Emei Mountains in Sichuan, dating back between 6,000 to 40,000 years; and ‘fossilized wood and petrified jade’ from countries like China, Thailand, and Malaysia, which have undergone billions of years of transformation. Among them, there is one of the world’s largest petrified jade stones.


This area is also home to the country’s largest plum blossom enterprise, Dongfang Meiyuan. The scenic area features a mix of peculiar rocks and ancient plum trees, with fresh flowers and ancient woods complementing each other, winding waters and ponds embellishing the landscape, and forest greenways surrounding the area, providing a tranquil retreat for people to return to nature. Strolling through the international flower sea, where red plums, roses, and crape myrtles compete for beauty, one cannot help but be captivated, and in the dialogue with the relics of nature, one can transcend time and space to experience the infinite mysteries of the origin of life, the evolution of the Earth, and the cycle of forests.
