Changxing Huaxigu Scenic Area

The Changxing Huaxigu Scenic Area, nestled in the heart of Longshan Forest Town—a provincial-level characteristic town in Changxing—lies in Meihuawu, Longshanchuanbu Village. This idyllic location boasts breathtaking mountains, pristine waters, perennially blooming flowers, and a forest coverage rate exceeding 85%, earning it the moniker ‘hometown of longevity’.

Spanning over 300 mu, the scenic area is a harmonious blend of ancient wood appreciation, forest culture, and forest science popularization. The natural treasures within are unaltered, presenting themselves in their raw, unpolished, and unpainted state, each a masterpiece of nature’s artistry.

The collections are a testament to the region’s biodiversity, featuring ‘divine woods’ from the remote regions of Yunnan, Guizhou, and Tibet, as well as the Kunlun Mountains. There are also ‘driftwoods’ from the Changbai Mountain and the basins of the Songhua River and Heilongjiang. Among the ancient woods, one finds ‘ebony’ from Emeishan District in Sichuan Province, dating back 6,000 to 40,000 years, and ‘wood fossils and tree jades’ that have withstood the test of time for hundreds of millions of years, originating from China, Thailand, Malaysia, and beyond. Prominently displayed is the world’s largest tree jade.

Dongfang Meiyuan, a prominent plum enterprise in the country, also calls this place home. Here, one can find a fascinating mix of peculiar stones and ancient plums, with flowers and ancient trees complementing each other in a picturesque setting. Meandering waters reflect the surrounding ponds, creating a serene landscape.

The forest greenways encircling the area offer a tranquil escape into nature. A stroll through the international flower sea, where red plums, roses, and crape myrtles vie for attention, is an enchanting experience that captivates visitors and makes them forget the passage of time.In the dialogue with natural relics, one can travel through time and space to feel the infinite mysteries of the origin of life, the evolution of the earth, and the cycle of forests.
