The Changzhou Library was founded in 1904. It is one of the earlier local public libraries in China and can be called a century-old library. On December 26, 1995, the new building of Changzhou Library was officially completed and opened. The library is located at 35 Heping North Road, with a construction area of 12,000 square meters. As of 2009, it has a collection of 1.3 million books (including 100,000 ancient books). It is mainly characterized by Changzhou local literature and is the city’s literature collection center. Opening hours: Open from Tuesday to Sunday throughout the year from 09:00 to 17:00; Closed all day on Monday throughout the year.
