The Chen Yun Memorial Hall is located in Liantang Town, Qingpu District, the birthplace of this great revolutionary and founder of China’s economic construction. Within the memorial hall, you can gain a detailed understanding of the illustrious life of this great man, view personal items he once used, and experience the Hongqi car he rode in. In addition to the memorial hall, visitors can also explore his former residence. The memorial hall complex consists of the main building, the former residence, the handwriting stele corridor, and Changchun Garden. The entire area is tranquil and elegant, with a central bronze statue in the square in front of the main building, flanked by long corridors and ponds, surrounded by green pines and cypresses, and a small square paved with bluestone at the rear. The main building, comprising two above-ground floors and one underground floor, is divided into four exhibition halls, a cultural relics hall, a remembrance hall, and a Qingpu Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall. Free scheduled guided tours are available at 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 13:00, 14:00, and 15:00. The exhibition primarily features a wealth of documentary materials about his life and contributions to the revolutionary cause, as well as the efforts put into the nation’s economic construction after the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Numerous items used by him throughout his life are also on display, such as the old leather suitcase that accompanied him for decades, the wheelchair he used in his later years, the pipa and sheet music he once played, and a Hongqi sedan he used during his working hours. Additionally, there are lifelike wax figures of leaders. The memorial hall is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 09:00 to 16:30, closed on Mondays, except for national holidays.
