Chengxu Taoist Temple, commonly known as the Holy Hall, was built during the Yuanyou period of the Song Dynasty (A.D. 1086-1093), and has a history of over 900 years. The temple’s area is not large, but it has been renovated many times and still maintains the architectural style of the Song Dynasty, mainly including the Lingguan Hall, Shengdi Pavilion, and Yuhuang Pavilion. Visitors can pray for good fortune here.

Upon entering the temple, the Lingguan Hall houses a statue of Wang Lingguan with glaring eyes and a hanging plaque reading ‘Do you recognize me?’. Beyond the small courtyard of Lingguan Hall is the Shengdi Pavilion, which enshrines Xuantian God (Zhenwu Emperor) and various deities. Behind the Shengdi Pavilion is the main hall, Yuhuang Pavilion, also known as Doumu Hall, where the先天 Doumu Great Saint, Ciji Zhenren, and Lei Zu statues are enshrined in the center, with statues of the sixty JiaZi gods on both sides. The bluestone column bases in Yuhuang Pavilion are the original architectural elements from the Northern Song Dynasty.

In addition, there are some stone inscriptions within the temple that are worth viewing.
