The old name of Chenxiang Pavilion is ‘Ciyun Zen Temple’. It covers an area of 2378 mu and is a characteristic nunnery. Inside the pavilion are the Mahavira Hall, Guanyin Pavilion, Qielan Hall and the Memorial Hall of Master Yingci. Chenxiang Pavilion is famous for enshrining the ‘Chenxiang Guanyin’. Now, the Ruyi Wheel Guanyin statue made of Aquilaria agallocha wood donated by believers in Hong Kong later is enshrined in the Guanyin Pavilion. In front of the pavilion, there is a triple-eaved archway with four pillars and three gates. On it are the three characters ‘Chenxiang Pavilion’ inscribed by Sha Menghai. In the center of the Mahavira Hall are the ‘Three Sages of Huayan’. In the middle is Vairocana Buddha. Manjusri and Samantabhadra stand on both sides as attendants. There are also Brahma and Indra, the two gods, guarding on both sides. This kind of worship style is also rare in temples in the south of the Yangtze River. The Guanyin Pavilion enshrines the Chenxiang Guanyin, which is known as the ‘Ruyi Wheel Guanyin’. Opening hours: Open from 07:00 to 16:00 all year round.
