China Dinosaur Park is a large amusement park themed on dinosaur culture. It is a one-stop tourist resort integrating popular science, amusement, performing arts, accommodation and shopping. It is known as the ‘Oriental Jurassic’. The park currently has seven major theme areas, more than fifty extreme amusement projects, and various themed performances of different styles every day. It leads tourists back to the ancient and mysterious Jurassic era.
As the landmark building of China Dinosaur Park, the exterior of the China Dinosaur Museum fully uses bionic architectural techniques. From a distance, it seems as if three dinosaurs are raising their heads and whispering. A plump and huge dinosaur body presents a freehand style, thus outlining the exhibition, entertainment and popular science space of the dinosaur museum. The total area of the whole museum is more than 20,000 square meters. The highest point of the dragon head is 71 meters, and the highest point of the dome of the museum is 36 meters. The China Dinosaur Museum has five main halls and six auxiliary halls. The main halls include the atrium, exhibition hall, landscape hall, sightseeing hall and film and television hall. The auxiliary halls include the entrance hall, VIP reception hall, academic lecture hall, spare exhibition hall, roof garden, souvenir sales house and other spaces. Each hall is logically connected, with separation and combination, and is interrelated. With the history of biological evolution as the design background, it focuses on highlighting the main idea of dinosaurs from survival, reproduction, evolution to destruction, revealing the profound theme that life and the environment are interdependent and humans must protect the ecology and the environment.
