The China Embroidery Art Museum is located on the west side of Zhenhu Embroidery Street. It covers an area of more than 8,000 square meters and has a construction area of more than 5,000 square meters. The museum adopts the architectural characteristics and gardening style of Jiangnan dwellings and Suzhou gardens. Inside the museum are exhibition halls of the four famous embroideries in the country, exhibition halls of embroidery works by masters and celebrities, an embroidery history museum, an exhibition hall of Jiangsu and Zhenhu embroideries, and an embroidery demonstration hall.
Here, tourists can not only appreciate the artistic charm of different embroidery varieties in the country, understand process knowledge related to embroidery such as mulberry planting, silkworm raising, reeling, refining and dyeing, and silk weaving, but also enjoy on-site embroidery performances by embroiderers and personally experience the fun of embroidery.
