The China International Import Expo is hosted by the Ministry of Commerce and the People’s Government of Shanghai Municipality, organized by the China International Import Expo Bureau and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. It encompasses various sections including the National Comprehensive Exhibition, Corporate Commercial Exhibition, Hongqiao International Economic Forum, professional supporting activities, and cultural exchange events. In line with the overarching demand of ‘getting better and better,’ the quality of the Expo continues to improve, and its international influence broadens. It promotes the connection of Chinese and global markets, integration of industries, mutual innovation, and alignment of rules. Leveraging China’s vast market advantage, it serves as an international procurement, investment promotion, cultural exchange, and open cooperation platform. It has become a window for China’s new development pattern, a platform for high-level openness, and a globally shared international public good. It has made a positive contribution to accelerating the new development pattern and driving global economic growth, earning widespread praise both domestically and internationally. The first edition of the Expo was held in 2018, and by 2023, the sixth edition had been conducted. The seventh China International Import Expo took place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) from November 5th to 10th, 2024.
