Da Shan Village, one of China’s three major selenium-rich villages, is located in the heart of the towering mountains of Xian Yu Shan Town, Shi Tai County, Southern Anhui Province. It borders the Gu Niu Jiang Nature Reserve to the east and the famous ecological tourism area of Xian Yu Shan to the west. Both are the main body of the western extension of the Huangshan Mountain Range, with an altitude of over 1000 meters, making it an ancient and mysterious blessed land in the mountains.
Da Shan Village has a population of over 480 people, with 12% being over 80 years old. In the past 50 years, no villager has been diagnosed with cancer, nor has there been a single case of obesity, making it a true ‘Longevity Village’ and ‘Slim Village’. The village is divided into three groups: Wang Village, Li Village, and Hong Village. The natural scenery is extremely beautiful, with undulating mountains and ridges, ancient and lush trees, valleys and ravines crisscrossing, flowing springs and waterfalls, green tea gardens on the mountain sides, and terraced fields.

There are also ancient villages from the Ming and Qing dynasties, selenium-rich springs, selenium-rich tea gardens, Shen Long Valley, General Rock, Tiger Rock, Frog Stone, Guanyin Cave, and Tian Fang Lake, etc. The beautiful landscapes and the magical selenium-rich village together form a paradise full of charm and allure.
