Chishan Lake National Wetland Park is located at the border between Lei Guan Town, Lai’an County, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, and Chengqiao Street, Luhe District, Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province. It covers a total area of 5800 acres, with 3600 acres in Jiangsu Province and 2200 acres in Anhui Province. The park boasts a superior geographical location and convenient transportation, being 50 kilometers from downtown Nanjing, 70 kilometers from Chuzhou City, and 190 kilometers from Hefei City.
Chishan Lake Wetland Park derives its name from the more than 50,000 chishan trees growing in over a thousand acres of water. These chishan forests, planted in the early 1980s, have developed into a ‘forest on water’ natural landscape with forests in the water and birds in the forests after nearly forty years of natural growth and succession.
