The Chongjiao Xingfu Temple Pagoda is located in Fangta Garden, Dadongmen, ancient urban area of Changshu City. Originally named Chongjiao Pagoda, it is commonly known as Fangta. The Chongjiao Xingfu Temple Pagoda was built according to feng shui theory and belongs to the list of early feng shui pagodas in China. Although the pagoda was built in the Song Dynasty, it still follows the shape of a square pavilion-style wooden pagoda in the Tang Dynasty. It is an exemplary case of the coordination between ancient urban planning, construction and the environment in China, and is a rare physical example for studying ancient architecture. The Song Dynasty Fangta standing in the ancient urban area is a landmark building of Changshu, a famous historical and cultural city. It is also a relatively well-preserved Song pagoda in Jiangsu Province at present. Opening hours: Open from 8:00 to 16:00 all year round.
