Chongzheng Academy, a privately-run school during the Ming Dynasty, was established during the Jiajing era, with a history of over five hundred years. The academy was founded by the then-Supervisor of Education, Geng Xianxiang, and was named ‘Chongzheng’, which signifies the promotion of orthodox Confucian teachings. The architecture we see today was reconstructed in 1982 by the renowned designer Mr. Yang Tingbao, following the original design. The academy is currently rented by the Phoenix Group. The opening hours and business status are subject to the daily opening conditions.
