Chushan Ecological Park, a prime fishing spot by the Taihu Lake. Covering an area of 39.6 hectares, it was originally a cluster of abandoned fish ponds in Chushan Village, Zhenhu Street, High-tech Zone. Since 2013, Suzhou Western Ecological City has been developing this park into an eco-friendly theme park that integrates ecological wetlands, recreational tourism, and international professional fishing, in line with the overall goals of ‘ecological environmental protection, entertainment and leisure tourism, and international professional fishing’. The park includes areas such as professional fishing zones, member fishing areas, public fishing areas, and wetland sightseeing areas, interspersed with entertainment facilities like oxygen sports paths, aerial walkways, wedding lawn, and pastoral scenery.
The head of the China Fishing Sports Association has stated that after several visits to Chushan Ecological Park, they believe the park has a beautiful environment, spacious venues, standardized fishing ponds, complete supporting facilities, and a very rational distribution of functional areas, making it an excellent fishing spot in an ecological park.
