Ci Gong, located in Xinping Village, Fuliang County, Jingdezhen, is an architectural marvel crafted entirely from porcelain. The structure utilizes over 60,000 pieces of porcelain, adorned with tens of thousands of porcelain tiles, bottles, and plates in various colors. It features the four renowned types of Jingdezhen porcelain: blue and white, linglong, famille rose, and colored glazes. Half of the porcelain is embedded into the walls, arranged into various shapes and styles, exuding a bold and unconventional aesthetic. The ‘palace’ is also decorated with an array of porcelain panels of different sizes. The porcelain used for decoration is a collection accumulated by the elderly over decades, with many pieces fired in traditional kilns in the 1980s, including numerous fine pieces. It is open to visitors from 09:00 to 17:00 all year round, subject to the daily operational status of the site.
