The Crystal World Glass Art Museum is located on the south side of Santai Mountain National Forest Park. It is designed based on the site of the birthplace of China’s flat glass. Led by Academician He Jingtang, the father of the China Pavilion of the World Expo, it is designed according to the principle of ‘using the old as the foundation and combining the old with the new’. Based on Suqian’s unique silica sand mineral deposits and the booming development of the local glass industry, it combines historical memory with avant-garde design elements to build a comprehensive leisure and sightseeing center mainly for leisure and entertainment and cultural experience.

The whole museum takes ‘The Journey of a Grain of Sand’ as the theme and is divided into five chapters: the source of glass, the birth of glass, factory stories, technological innovation, and art design. Through exhibitions, situational experiences, interactive projects and other methods, elements such as vision, hearing, and touch are integrated to fully display the entire process of glass raw material mining, melting, and molding, highlighting the unique historical status of ‘Suqian – the birthplace of China’s flat glass industry’.
