Da Yu Scenic Bamboo Garden is located in the eastern suburbs of the historical and cultural city of Yangzhou, in Dinghuo Town, Jiangdu City, a famous flower and tree town in China, and was established in 1999. It now covers an area of 342 acres.
The bamboo garden boasts a rich variety of ornamental bamboos, capable of providing a large quantity of bamboo species for garden landscaping, ground cover, bonsai, and bamboo seedlings. Employing advanced transplanting, potted, and container seedling methods, the garden ensures a high survival rate of bamboo, which can significantly meet the needs of garden landscaping and greening projects.
On the basis of continuously introducing, domesticating, and expanding new varieties, combined with technical support from Nanlin University’s Bamboo Research Institute and others, more than 20 cold-resistant bamboo varieties suitable for growth in northern regions have been selected. Several varieties have been successfully cultivated in Liaoning, Hebei, Beijing, Shandong, Henan, and other places, accelerating the pace of ‘moving bamboo from the south to the north’.
The garden is open all year round from 8:00 to 19:00.
