The Dabieshan Rainbow Waterfall is 34 kilometers away from both Yuexi County and Huoshan County. The Monkey River passes through the scenic area to form a canyon. The Huangwei River and the Monkey River intersect in the scenic area. There are many small islands in the river, forming a landscape gallery of several kilometers. The major attraction, the Rainbow Waterfall, is 80 meters high and 25 meters wide.
The waterfall pours into the pool, and the splashed water forms a thin mist. It is magnificent. If you are lucky to encounter a sunny day, you can see the rainbow in front of the waterfall. The scenic area runs from east to west, and the entrance is at the east end. Zhonghezhou in the Monkey River is where the tourist service center is located. There are restaurants and shopping centers on the island.
Walking west to the intersection of the Huangwei River and the Monkey River, there is Shuangfengzhou in the river. Continuing forward, you can see the small but ancient Dragon King Temple. Further west is the Rainbow Waterfall. This section of the road is flat and relatively easy to tour. Behind the Rainbow Waterfall is the Monkey River Canyon section. You can walk on the suspended plank road built against the mountain wall. After touring the Monkey River Canyon, you can return to the scenic area gate.
In addition to the natural scenery, there are also many amusement projects in the scenic area that require additional payment. For example, there is live-action CS on Shuangfengzhou. In the Monkey River Canyon, there are rock climbing and zip-lining.
