Dahua Shu Chang is located on Qingnian Road in Hangzhou, and is a specialized venue for book performances. It was founded in 1952 by Wang Deming and six others. Renowned Pingtan artists from Suzhou and Shanghai often perform at this venue. The venue was closed in 1966 and reopened in 1971 due to the performance of modern books such as ‘Flying Snow Welcoming Spring’ by the Zhejiang Quyi Troupe. Focusing on Suzhou Pingtan, Dahua Shu Chang now has a distinctive area of over 200 square meters, featuring rosewood tables and antique lanterns. It is open from 16:30 to 19:30 all year round, with specific business hours subject to daily operations.
