Belonging to the subtropical climate, Dai Shan Lake is warm and humid with an average annual temperature of 15.7 degrees Celsius, offering a mild winter and a cool summer. Surrounded by green mountains and with the integration of water and mountains, it has wide and narrow water surfaces and bays and harbors along the lake, forming a self-contained system and providing an ideal environment for various water sports. The forest coverage rate in the mountainous area around the lake is over 90%, with more than 400 types of plants.
Dai Shan Lake is famous for its unique lake and mountain scenery, described as ‘the mountains are not high but layered, the water is not vast but full of changing scenes,’ which outlines the characteristics of Dai Shan Lake’s landscape. Originally a reservoir built by local villagers after the liberation, it is far from the city and surrounded by rural fields, remaining untouched by pollution, giving people a sense of pure and natural intimacy. Standing on the shore and looking into the distance, one can see the vast lake surface with clear waves rippling, surrounded by layers of green peaks and hills. The eastern part of the lake is open, while the western part is winding and naturally forms many bays.
