Daqishan National Forest Park is located in the southeast of Tonglu city, 7 kilometers away from the county town. Compared to other urban peaks, Daqishan offers a much more delicate scenery. The forest is not only rich in vegetation but also home to numerous waterfalls and streams of various sizes, providing fresh air and making it an ideal place for leisure and sightseeing.
The tour route of Daqishan Overview Scenic Area is relatively simple. Starting from the entrance of the scenic area, follow the walking trail on the left (Shijingyuan Grand Canyon) uphill. At the top of the mountain, there is a waterfall. On the way back, turn right at Zhiqing Channel, and finally descend through the China-Japan Friendship Forest. There are almost no other branching paths along the way; simply follow the trail in a clockwise circular route, which is unlikely to lead to getting lost. The entire journey can be completed in two to three hours, making it quite relaxed for ordinary visitors. Upon entering the scenic area, one comes across a small bamboo forest. At the end of the bamboo forest lies a small children’s playground known as the Green World, which features swings, balance beams, and other wooden games. Parents with children can visit this area for some fun. There are a few small shops nearby that sell snacks. As you continue up the trail, small streams and waterfalls accompany the journey. Passing the winding and interesting stone path along the edge of a small reservoir and crossing the swaying suspension bridge, one arrives at the Tianchi at the top of the mountain after a section of dense willows and bright flowers. The water here is so clear that one can almost see the bottom, with the reflection of green trees covering the surface, bearing some resemblance to the beauty of Jiuzhaigou. Further along, at the end of the mountain trail, is the last waterfall. From here, return to the fork leading to Zhiqing Channel. At the end of Zhiqing Channel, there is a slide (Forest Flying Rat) for those who prefer convenience, and it takes about ten minutes to walk down. In summary, Daqishan is an easy-to-climb hill with beautiful scenery and not too tiring to explore. In addition, there is an expansion base within the scenic area where one can play real-life CS (approximately 80 yuan per person) and team-building activities are also available.
