The botanical garden scenic area located in the south of Dashanyang National Forest Park in Suzhou is also known as ‘Suzhou Botanical Garden’. The scenic area covers an area of about 86 hectares. Adjacent to Taihu Avenue, it is full of lush trees, fresh air and extremely high negative oxygen ion content. It is a rare ‘urban green lung’. The north is a plant area and special garden for popular science and ornamental purposes.
The south is a plant area for leisure and entertainment, highlighting the entertainment and ornamental value of plants and their interaction with people. The east is an introduction and cultivation area, where a large number of rare plant species have been introduced and planted. Opening hours: Open all year round from 09:00 to 16:30. Enter the park after 16:30 for the night show. Preferential policies: Children: Children under 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1. 4 meters in height can enter the park for free with valid identity documents. Children under 1.4 meters must be accompanied by adults when entering the park for play. Minors: Those aged 6 years old (exclusive) to 18 years old (inclusive) can enjoy half-price tickets with valid documents. Students: Full-time undergraduate and below students can enjoy half-price tickets with full-time student ID cards. Elderly: Those aged 60 years old (inclusive) to 70 years old (exclusive) can enjoy half-price tickets with valid documents such as the Elderly Preferential Card or ID card. Those aged 70 years old and above can enter the park for free with valid documents such as the Senior Citizen Card or ID card. Disabled people: People with disabilities can enter the park for free with the Disability Certificate. One accompanying person of severely disabled people can enter the park for free with valid identity documents. Active-duty military personnel: They can enter the park for free with valid documents such as military ID cards. Retired military cadres: They can enter the park for free with retired cadres cards. Firefighters: They can enter the park for free with fire certificates. National medical workers: During Doctor’s Day, they can enter the park for free with doctor’s certificates. During Nurse’s Day, they can enter the park for free with nurse’s certificates.
