Daxi Reservoir is located in the south of Liyang City in southern Jiangsu Province and at the northern foot of Yili Mountain. It is located in the upper reaches of Daxi River and is named after building a dam to impound Daxi River. Daxi Reservoir was built in 1958. There is a waterway on the southeast side of the reservoir area that connects to Shahe Reservoir to regulate the flood of Shahe Reservoir. There is an island in the center of the reservoir. A large number of fir trees and locust trees are planted on the island. Due to the absence of human interference on the island, the ecological environment is very good. A large number of herons begin to choose to build nests here and breed. Whenever the vast expanse of white herons return to their nests, it becomes a special local scenery. Opening hours: open all day from January 1st to December 31st.
